SWB rear trunk lid center bar paint?

I have found a correct trunk lid for my 1967S. (it currently has a 1970-1973 lid)

I will need to have it painted to match my car and I would like to make sure it is correct.
Anybody have a picture of how the center bar is painted? matte black? body color?

I've seen early cars with or without matte black under grille, but not certain what the consensus is... could be either is correct for '66-67.

Nice example of same, John Goriup's beautiful resto is matte black:

Thanks so much for thread reference!
It appears some cars did and others did not... Some have said it maybe due to who manufactured the body at the time such a Reutter who would have used the matte black under the grill perhaps?
