I have located a red handled made in W. Germany reversable screw driver with Chrom Vanadium stamped on the shaft.
When did Porsche use this in their kits please?
I seem to recall mid late 73 but looking for confirmation.

Clyde - you can always check the reference page: https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...s-amp-Contents
Looks like the reversible at least went back to roughly mid ‘72 based on this kit: https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...l=1#post745729
Some of the other members might know more.
Perfect, thanks.
Looks like I have located an early to late 73 kit.

When I first read "reversible screwdriver," I immediately thought of the Yankee type ratchet screwdriver, particularly because I had just seen one being used in an article on Porsche engine assembly and had remarked to myself that I never knew that was a Porsche issued item. I had always thought that Porsche screwdrivers were of the "single use" variety, either straight slotted or Phillips with red plastic handles. I have since learned that for a brief period of time c.1973, Porsche did indeed offer a ''reversible screwdriver."
