Removable seat extensions for the rear jump seats

Someone over on BAT says they were an option on a 1971S.

What are they? I've never heard of them?

No Richard, not quite what I said.

Not An option,,,, Standard on the 71S. Homologation tidbit. I believe they are also mentioned in Dr Johnsons book.

Agree, used to race homologate the 71S as a 4 seater. Dont know how many cars were equipped with.
Here is the only period pic I ve seen, published in the 1971 brochure RoW. (came in many languages)
Check the rear seats..one can partly seen them.

Ok. I get it now. This may have been the way the 911 became a sedan for the old Trans Am series.

He's got a stash of Glasurit paint in old tins, and NOS tires wrapped up in cloth.... all the window rubber has the old purple tags on it, and the same for the fuel lines and brake rubber lines (safety be damned.... it's only original once).
