You are here for profit only....., so your reply is curious to me. You would have a hard time making a case for you being a "hobbyist" in the Porsche world. That being said, you provide a service (even if at times just reselling my production items ). Do you grade your selling price on the market? Or, do you price your items on what you paid for them.... I'll "bet" it's the market, and that's as it should be. It's a balance to determine a price. Sometimes you can make money on an item... sometimes not, but it's the market that sets the price.
Please tell us what you what have sold this item for....
Oh yah... your also selling parts on:

Alfabb forum

etc.....
I’m not related to “noidem” , but I can understand him. My purchase was 79 euro + postage + paypalfees. That makes a total of 106 euro. And yes I'm asking now 375 euro for it because I did not know what these are worth, and had seen that you sell the same for more than 400 euros + shipping.
Big money for you too.... 269 profit. Then you must pay the Belgium tax man i assume.

The reason why I sell on different forums is 100% purely as a hobby to make everyone who owns an old-timer happy with the parts that I offer. And indeed it is not always correct for Porsche in most cases, but I have already received many responses from buyers who are satisfied with me.
I think the crux of this disagreement is that there are two types of sellers here using two different pricing models: enthusiast and retail.
I've been involved in business for way too many years and I've always found pricing to be difficult. We're all aware of the classic Keystone retail model: mark it up 100% to make a 50% margin. It seems to be commonly accepted that many retail businesses *must* make a 50% margin (at least on Shark Tank). Unfettered capitalism is really about charging what the market will bear based on the theory (Adam Smith) that individuals will always act in their own behalf. If you're a believer in unfettered capitalism then it's hard to quarrel with any price that anyone sets. An efficient market will take care of things sooner or later.
A second pricing model that we see here is more of a community model. It's one used by true blue Porsche enthusiasts who want to help out their fellow enthusiasts. It's a good idea to make a few bucks in order to sustain a viable business but that's only one of the goals. A good example of the approach is Eric L. in my opinion.
There is of course room for both. I'm biased as a seller here (although I have tried to add value over the years) but I think that one of the valuable aspects of the ESR is the marketplace it offers. Again, the power is in the hands of the buyers.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Cheers,
JohnA
P.S. Please forgive the windy post. I'm taking a break from setting up a new computer system, something I find tedious and boring.

Thanks Eric. Well, I have been involved in more profitable enterprises but not many as enjoyable as this one. The hourly rate is something I try not to look at but I have to be doing something in my advanced years. I make enough to take my wife out to dinner once in a while.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving my friend.
Cheers,
JohnA
