    72 ST Factory Look Build

So, I've been wanting to build an ST for a while now and had been talking about it with Gib. He offered to sell me an ST project car that he was thinking about building but had many other projects going on at the time so was willing to sell it to me. I've always wanted to build an ST as my Uncle brought an original one over from Germany in 1978. You all know I love the 72's and the factory built 72ST is my absolute favorite. So, my goal is to build a factory looking 72ST with all metal. No fiberglass will be on the car. Aluminum engine lid and panel with metal flares and bumpers. I have John Esposito (Master of Metal) doing the paint and body work. Here we go! Oh yea, and in case you're wondering what color will it be painted, Signal Yellow!

Very nice project Scott. I am looking forward to updates. So the question is... whatever happened to your uncle's ST? Great period pics.

    Scott:

John is truly a master at metal work on these cars. This will be a fun ride watching the progress as John does his thing with the body work, and then as you develop the power train and suspension bits. Having an uncle who had the passion back in the day is pretty special, and a true inspriration that transcends a couple of decades for a kid just beginning to appreciate hot rods.

Knowing Scott, this project will be a high quality representation (as his 73 RSR is) of what the factory made available to a only a few race teams in 72. I plan to enjoy the journey.
