Well, the ad said arguably THE finest. That is what I was reacting to.
Most would prefer the series 1 if they could have THE finest. With the lightweight panels. And there are some with original glass, for example.
First, it's restored. Compare that for example to the all original lightweight that sold at Amelia.
Second, if it is restored there are a few people like Cantwell that are extreme in their restorations. Way beyond what most would do. But that's for THE finest. Clients direction matters too.
Third, do you believe the 8,000km? So why the repaint? Why did Tony redo the seats? Why NOS seat belt materials? Why was it turned to white before? Why did it look so rough when it was white and being sold? Why the antenna and no radio? Why incorrect stance and wheels? Why was the paint and metal work around the plates a little sloppy in earlier photos? And I doubt he carrera lettering should be on it.
Finally, yes, subtract the sellers credibility.

Also appears that the instrument panel is covered in vinyl like a 964... Small thing, but odd.

Other minor nits: The shift coupler cover and seat hinges should be crinkle finish. In the photos they appear carpeted and smooth, respectively. The single clamp from the flapper to air filter is correct, but should be on flapper side IIRC. The center tunnel plugs appear to be missing on the bottom.
I didn't check on the side script for this SN, but you are right that it was rarely ordered on non-Grand Prix White cars. I think only about 20 ordered it; it was standard for GPW but an option (in black) on other colors.

...over restored, another minor thing, label on seat belts are wrong, they used the US part number...so far for NOS!
