What was the turn around time?

Bob, your steering wheel looks to have a period aftermarket cover on it, rather than a factory leather wrap. The factory wrapped steering wheels have leather that extends onto the steel spokes, rather than being confined to the rim itself as yours is. And it appears to have a simple lacing pattern rather than the more complicated two needle crossover stitch. Either you or your local upholstery shop should be able to fix this.
Here is a writeup that I did: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...steering-wheel
Bob -- I have used Don at Dallas Custom and he is a true gentleman to deal with. Very quick turn around and photos of completed wheel to inspect before payment. I have had Don do both a standard thickness wheel and a RS double thick wheel with excellent results. I just went out and took some quick photos in the garage but it was getting dark out so the photo quality is not very good.
Thanks for all the info guys....Happy New Year!!
