actually I am only advising and facilitating its return to the road by the owner who bought it in 1971 and who logged all the expenses in the black book.
He wants to get it road worthy before deciding what to do with it next and wasnt sure if he should restore it.
I made it clear that it should, in no uncertain terms, be restored, that there was plenty of restored bling and shine cars out there already
and that original cars are much more desireable. He was quite surprised at that notion, he even thought the wheels ought to be redone and polished???woa, they are nice deep sixes with original anodizing!!!! o no no!
Other than a mechanical shake down and renewal of components, the car should be able to stay authentic enough for a survivor category.

I am still looking for some wisdom for the original paint, there is a bit of checking and its quite thin about 1.7 to 2.2mils on average.
not much left so I wouldnt want to be too aggressive.
