Option 435 was fitted to a 1972 911T delivered by Sonauto. I suspect it is a fog light variant but possibly market specific.

The '72 option list I've seen (for tourist delivery) does not list 435 for the US market.

That is correct; it is not on the USA lists that I have. I have other lists showing:
M431 Additional long range driving lights, yellow, above bumper
M433 Halogen fog lights, white, above bumper
M434 Halogen fog lights, yellow, above bumper
but missing info on 432, 435 & 436

I have M432 as Quartz iodine long range driving lights above bumper (TTG lights and as they are quartz iodine they probably were not legal in the USA)
And M436 as two stage electrically heated and tinted rear window
I don’t have a M435 but there are two things
1 the options numbers go in series (ie all lights ones the same and all wheel ones etc in mostly consecutive numbers) and
2 there are gaps in the numbers for production cars but sometimes these are numbers that are used for competition car options that don’t make the “retail” list of options. So M435 could be as you say a market specific option (most likely) for a type of auxiliary light OR a gap to allow for an extra option to be fitted in OR it could be an actual option say for a light combination that was not offered on production cars (unlikely if you have seen it on a production car)

My two option lists covering 1972 skip from M434 to M436, both of which are electrical items. Nary a mention of an M435.
I checked all my 72 documents as well as 71 and 73, no M435 mentioned.
Maybe yellow fog lights under bumper.

Hello, this discussion is about my car, I do not know if it had fog lights (it has a bumper of "s" added in the 80s).
But she has additional lights on the front fenders. Here is a picture (sorry for my bad english ...)
I do not know if this editing is original, but in France a lot of porsche have additional headlights
Complete guess, but what about French market yellow headlights or below bumper yellow.
