Nice looking car. A long way from home with those Georgia plates or is it a transplant...?

Hi Sam, I saw the real RSR prototype R3 at the PNW Historics in July. It was a disappointing restoration - your car is so much better. For example, it had the wrong mirror, wrong finish on the wheels, wrong lenses, a plastic rear engine grill from a later 911, wrong interior...

The thing is....the car was badly wrecked at that last event (listed on the rear window) in Edmonton in Aug. 73 with Milt Minter driving, so that not much was left that was usable in a restoration. I agree with Randy, Sam's car is much closer to the original car as it raced in the 73 Daytona race...and it is an outstanding effort in recreating this historic RSR.

Yeah, Gib, I probably should have put "real" in quotes. Sam, you have the best "recreation" of RSR R3 in my mind.

    Sam, brilliant car.

    Randy, brilliant photograph. (thanks Gib)

Brakekiller (if that is your real name), terrific action shot. I love the historic banking in the background.

Thanks, this is a very well known track in France. Monthlery was very popular in the 20's to 70's with national races. The bank in the background is a half of another part from where you take on where we are the Alpine and I. You take 220 km/h, do not touché the wheel as you are in a 40 degrees bank and you have to look at the bottom of the track (sick) to watch the next chicane. Then you have a huge straight, big brake, 180 turn, few fast turn, another straight, big brake and a bizarre 90 degre curve, a long straight, the chicane and the bank....again and again, just like a funfair.

My real first name is Xavier.
