FS: 1969 911 S Numbers matching Restored Tangerine

    1969 Porsche 911 S Coupe

    VIN # 119300117
    Engine #6390173
Less than 10,000 miles since paint and engine rebuild
    Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche
    Numbers Matching
    Tangerine #6809 on Black Leatherette
    Clean and Clear Title
    5-speed
    No Accidents/Non-smoker
    Southern California Car

This is a great example of a local 911 S that was purchased new in San Diego and has spent its entire 37-year life there. The car was always cared for and it shows. The interior is completely original except for the headliner, which was replaced when the car was repainted.

Less than 10,000 miles ago, a well known SoCal painter named Sacha repainted the car in its original Tangerine color. Also, a very well respected engine builder rebuilt the motor using rare NOS “S” Valves. The MFI pump was also rebuilt. Although it is not shown in the picture, the car comes with its original radio as well as its stock US headlights. The H1 headlights, shown in the pictures, are not available. H4s may be substituted.

Recently the fuel tank was completely replaced with a brand new factory one.

The car drives great and everything feels tight.

It’s getting harder and harder to find straight local 911 S’s that are complete and rust free.

The original keys as well as all the books are included.

The car has it's factory original Blaupunkt radio installed and it works great and looks brand new. (I think it has been out of the car for a long time...it almost looks restored, but it is not). Also, the aluminum grill piece missing has been found and put back on the car.

Also, tons of records going back to the early 70's are included as well as the complete factory tool kit

Anyone from the board here know this car?

    I bid the $35K

Just couldn't go any higher. A couple of weeks ago it got up to $39K so I guess I was hoping he had lowered his reserve this time, but no such luck.
    Love that tangerine!

This 911 (lot #111) was sold this afternoon at the Gooding Scottsdale auction. The car was hammered for $92 K, so with the BP added, it will just over $100 K. Anyone out there the new owner? Looks like a nice car in their catalog.

nice...someone more than doubled their money...assuming their 4-5 years of owning didn't cost them anything for resto etc.

It IS amazing that in the worst economy since TGD these early cars continue to appreciate like that are....

That is a very good price for that car given the condition shown in the pictures.

Did anyone catch lot #19, the 12k mile 70E Sporto's hammer price?
