First scanned pic is of my signal orange 1970 Karmann 911T on the morning I brought it home in Jan. '05, after purchasing it from the original owner, with 249,288 miles on the clock.

Second shot is the same car earlier this year, cleverly disguised as Ruprecht, after a complete bare-metal restoration & new-spec, modified 3.0 liter, 915, Carrera suspension and a lot more......currently showing about 3500 more miles on its new odometer.

Before it became Ruprecht, my Porsche was a '70 911 T

    Well, Bryan . . . according to PO#3 (recently located/contacted) . . . we're 100k km closer, now. Odo's believed to've turned once --- at least. ('ll see what PO#2 has to say.)

209,866. 71 911T purchased in 1990 with 68,000 miles, daily driver to L.A. and to and from POC track events till 2002 .Stiff torsions and sways with elephant bushings and raised spindles.Original engine removed and put in my 70 vw bus and daily driven the next few years(my bad, thought I would always have the bus).Replaced with swap meet "S spec" motor and now a 2.7 with solex cams and webers .Still in original blutorange 2323 paint with spot repairs and wearing through to factory primer in spots.Recently got it back on the road ,removed the safety devices cage the fiberglass bumpers and track tires.replaced with the stock stuff again. Found the bus and missed buying it back with the motor by one day.Now a near daily driver again along with my 65 split bus. Steve
