'73 RS takes top 2011 Parade restoration honors

A '73 RS Carrera that was restored by Kevin Jeannette at Gunnar Racing took top restoration honors for the 2011 Parade in Savannah. The car scored 296.9 out of 300 and was awarded the Zuffenhausen Award for excellence. Congratulations to Kevin and all the guys at Gunnar Racing. The car is spectacular!

Following is a link to a youtube video of the RS being judged and a few photos (some of these photos are also posted on Pelican)

Congrats to KJ and the crew. How about the 914/6 GT safety car, would think that landed an award too.

The video shows some intense inspection... those guys make the judges at Pebble look like they're officiating a show & shine.

Mr. KJ, you're on a roll! I'm not a lawn-show guy so I hope that black beauty gets driven. A stunner for sure. See it at R-R IV?

Congrats also to Gunnar for the LMPC win at Mosport a week before and best wishes for Mid-Ohio this Saturday.

    Thanks Porsche Friends,

Even a blind Squirrel finds a nut now and again!!

I found out how much I don't know about 911's ...once again! But got the win on points!! The Judges have a job I wouldn't want. Just goes to show (no pun intended) you can't know everything....... and I don't!

Had a blast and will do Salt Lake with a 69 Euro "S"..... anybody got a book on 1969 Sesss??

Thanks Mr. 17, Gunnar appreciates any "rooting" for him!! See ya at Rennsport.

Yes, congratulations. Stunning restoration and all the better it is a black w/ red '73 Carrera.

Looks like from the video the PCA had their best early 911 judge on the 'business end" of the RS.

Curious can you tell us which chassis # RS this is for us database guys. Thanks much.

Spectacular Kevin. Blind squirrel my butt. It is a rare combination today to be a lawn guy and a racer. Building winning cars in both catagories deserves special accolades. My helmet's off to you.
BTW: Is that a new fan? What did you get docked on?
