    FS: 69 911S Targa - Signal Yellow

    http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...are-color.html

Sale pending after 3 hrs on site.

eBay link on PP ad shows lots of pics, including CoA. Has some rare options on top of that color. Maybe davep is capturing this listing for posterity already...

Not mine, no affiliation, just interesting car.

    Anyone know the car?

"Per the factory COA: #6823 Signal Yellow exterior paint code (First year for this color - ever seen another '69S targa in this color? This has got to be one of only a handful) ;Chassis number 119310268; Engine number 6390983; Transmission number 7193964."

Still active on eBay...we'll see if the car is made "no longer available"...

Back from a week of vacation, checking into site and all the auction discussions.

I believe this is the same car that sold at Mecum's Monterey last week for $95k.

Please correct if someone knows this is not the same car.

Same car. Sold by a member here, to another "member" here. The transaction between those two is a long story, but not mine to tell.

    Seller's eBay schtick . . .

. . . Finished in special order Signal Yellow with black interior, this Porsche 911S Targa is one of the finest examples of the marque available anywhere. A 911S Targa of this caliber is rarely offered for sale. Every nut, bolt, and wear item in this legendary machine has been restored, replaced, or refurbished to a level meeting or exceeding showroom condition by famed early 911 technician, David Loop at Porsche of Monterey. When the 170-horsepower 2.0-liter engine is on full song and the car is working in a corner as only a Porsche can, you are transported to a place that only a pedigreed Porsche 911S Targa can take you. The purity of the driving experience provided by this machine is only equaled by the care, attention, and expense poured into the restoration of this unrivaled 911S Targa. This car belongs in a collection of the highest caliber, or to an enthusiast who can truly appreciate the difference between an automobile which is admirable and one that is indisputably excellent. We firmly believe this to be one of the finest early 911S Targas in existence. The devoted following and appreciation in value of these early 911S Targas is undeniable and we fully expect this trend to continue on its meteoric rise . . .

Price here was $149k (Oh no --- soooo NOT mine)

Now --- all this one needs?

    . . . is a fresh set o' H1s

    . . . boing . . .

. . . FOR SALE - 1969 PORSCHE 911S TARGA. The car is extremely rare with its color combination of signal yellow/black. The car received a full rotisserie restoration done by Master Porsche Technician David Loop with Porsche of Monterey, CA back in January of 2012. Since the restoration the car has been driven less than 500 miles. Odometer reads 39,060. This car is one of only 614 S Targas produced back in 1969. Included in this sale are the original owner's manuals, pictures of the restoration with receipts for all the work done in 2012.

Options included on the car are:
..One of only 614 S Targas produced back in 1969
..Optional recaro sport seats – left and right
    ..Optional stainless steel bumper skirt
    ..Optional oil cooler
..Optional tinted rear window with defrost and very rare rear wiper
    ..Optional dual outside mirrrors
..Optional tinted windshield and door glass
    ..Blaupunkt radio
    ..Hella 139 fog lamps
    ..Fuchs wheels including spare
    ..Leather wrapped steering wheel
    ..Porsche Certificate of Authentiicty

The only thing this car needs is the following:
..Proper seals for the Targa top,
..The seatbelts need to be rechromed,
..There is a small chip in the paint on the front bumper about the size your little fingernail. (Picture Attached)
..And it needs a new home. I'm thinning my herd to make room for a 918 at the end of the year . . .

    Asking = $148k
