    First win for a 911

Significance of this car should not be lost on this group.

Not just that RBM is still a dealership in Atlanta (see livery).

But the first 911 to win a race. Ever. Worldwide.
24 hrs of Daytona 1966. First in class.

    Longhood Volume

For an East Coast guy, and a southern one at that, seeing this many longhoods in one place is a once in a lifetime opp. This is midday Friday, green corral. Didn't hit the corrals on Saturday so may have been more then.

It's hard to imagine this many cars getting together anywhere else but here. Not sure if this many even exist in this condition on the East Coast.

Every one of these is <'73.

Some great cars for sure. Kudos to everyone who drove them to the event.

That was my favorite car of the whole bunch - for so many reasons...
First 911 winner, the livery, but also the attitude of Jack Ryan - and HvH - well you can read it....

    910

The schweetest sounding car the whole weekend. The downshift under braking, going into turn 5 was sublime.

Nothing compared for me, including the 917's which seemed 3/5 at most.

This 910 was being pushed and pushed well.

Why not? That's basically what they did to get the 917 engine Jokes aside, there's another shot on this site where it looks like the std. (908) fan shrouds are facing each other, modified to adapt to the central horizontal fan takeoff.

For some reason I didn't take many photos at this Rennsport - maybe 100 total - but I've got a few gems and a few ideas. Here are my favorites...

1-3) RS Spyder vs. 962 ... the Spyder won.
    4) 911/962 awesomeness
    5) KJ and my dad yucking it up on Thrusday AM ... this was a shot from the hip so the quality is poor, but capturing these two guys on camera together laughing and talking was a highlight for me.
