Found another SWB with ST flares!

Hey guys, I found another one! It's a 68' non-sunroof 911. It's a big project but mostly complete, needs floor pan & front pan. The guy I bought it from had it for about 6 years, he was moving and had to get rid of it. He wasn't really a Porsche guy, I told him the flares are very rare and pretty valuable....he just wanted to get rid of it so I got a really good deal.

When I got it home I realized that what looked like a deep 6 wheel was in fact a factory 7R wheel! I just bought a second 7R wheel and will be running these on the front of my 911S. I also sold off the 3 15x7 fuchs that were on the car. At this point I will probably sell the car as well. A friend of mine has already expressed interest in it but if he passes I'll start an official for sale thread. I only have this crappy iphone picture right now. Almost looks like my 911S when I got it.

I hope you're buying lottery tickets, too! Weren't you just posting yesterday you were looking for a 2nd 7R? Seriously good karma surrounds you, congrats!

PS... not envying your gas prices, tho!

Yeah, I need all the luck I can get since I have no money!

Haha...the gas prices are horrible, but look at that view!

Congratulations. Do you know of any racing history associated with it? That might be interesting to learn. Can you provide any more info on the car / engine?

I doubt there is any racing history but you never know, no signs of a roll bar, foot rest or engine work etc. The engine number is within the correct range so it probably is matching. The serial # is 11830189, engine number 3280406. At this point all I know is that it's been on a CA non-op for 15 years.

During the 2 hour drive to pick it up I was dreaming up all sorts of things. Maybe it's a Euro 911T? Could it be a T/R? What if there's a 100L fuel tank and dead pedal? Hahaha....it was a fun drive for sure, felt like 10 hours! Can't complain though, the car looks like a good start for a hot rod and the 7R wheel has found a new home on my 911S. I sold the other 15x7's to a buddy and they will find a home on his 911S. Hopefully one of my friends or a member here will be able to bring the car back to life, it will be fun to see it back on the road after many years of sitting. I really prefer to sell these cars to people that will enjoy them rather than parting them out.
