The original engine was fully reconditioned and re-installed. The 1967 911S is considered by some Porsche aficionados to be the Holy Grail. It’s rarity combined with the fact that it was the first in what is now a long line of factory upgraded 911’s make it a must-have for die hard collectors. In 1966 there was one type of 911, today there are many versions including the 4S, Turbo S, and GT3 RS, that can all trace their “S” heritage back to this game changing 1967 upgrade.
