Norton Commando . . .
750 cc + kick-start (still) = pre '75
Norton was devolving into insolvency/chaos by the time this bike was being built . . . that, + higher quality/more reliable/cheaper Japanese products would finish-off the company by ~'75
Another museum-piece. All-paint tank . . . no decals . . .
. . . and? --- front disc-brakes, finally
Zündapp KKS500 . . .
498 cc, air-cooled flat-twin . . . OK --- seen that
Hard-tail --- mit schpringer in zee frunt . . . ouch
Shaft-drive . . . whoa
. . . now add a side-car . . . . !!!
. . . what a coupla Sasquatch would take to a Car Show . . . . when they're looking for Black Shadows
Talk about the road less-traveled
Incredible detail, too --- check-out the ignition switch on top of the headlight + the 'shadowed' Zündapp on the polished tank sides + grab-handle on that little alloy kayak-of-a-sidecar. (Zündapp would do Micro-cars, post-war.) And everything restored beyond belief . . . right down to the Reichsverkehrsministerium plates --- w/tags! . . . the front one discretely de-swasticated

Morris Mini . . .
Sufferin' Succotash --- a veritable plethora of lilliputian pachyderm-pesters
Buncha Cooper Ss, a BRG-camo'd Ozzy ex-racer --- w/ roll-cage + twin tanks . . . and wrong-hand drive (), and an Innocenti . . . almost-leaf green
I want-I want-I want
Requisite Porsche content . . .
'74 RoW Carrera
Some more 911s . . .
1) Paul Rodello's '70
2) '69 (ex?-) Sporto (ex?-) Paul Kramer
3) Uh-oh . . . flachbau mit Bow-tie
Tidy install, too --- Home Depot? Check-out that coolant fill. And did someone actually braze some copper pipes, in there? Now THAT's special!
And-what! --- no a/c? . . . oh-oh-oh, that's riiiiiiiiight. This is Cabrio flachbau
Reminds me of something My Little Girl once said . . .
Just because it fits . . . doesn't mean you should wear it
9-9-nein!

I swear --- this must be Harry 'The Maestro' Pellow's Olde Ride
Always the Contrarian, Pellow once wrote an article where he conceived a plan to never get a ticket again, by requesting a personal plate from CA DMV that consisted of 'O's --- as in, the letter . . . and '0's --- as in the number. The Maestro had rather-cunningly observed that 'O's and '0's looked identical when represented on a CA plate, so . . . any Peace Officer attempting to cite a vehicle carrying a tag w/ a crafty combination of those two characters would prolly/more-than-likely get it wrong when he wrote a ticket
Here's that tag, again . . . and I've seen it before, too --- up North, somewhere? And a really b!tchin' frame
Oh-yeah . . . Decent-enough car, rare. '59 A Cab w/ optional hard-top. Doors almost fit
Looking at this photo took me back.
The guy in the black shirt I am speaking with (Frank Arias) was my track coach some 35 years ago.
He is also the original owner of the Polo Red 67 912 you see parked next to mine.
Even then as a youngster, I appreciated the handling and braking of the 912.
It sure is great to see Frank at these events from time to time.
Seems like Porsche has always helped maintain relationships for a lifetime.
My late father's best-friend and service mate Cedric "Max" Dunham gave me my 1st ride in a Porsche.
I was only 5 years old but, remember the sound, the vibration and smell of the car.
He owned a white 62 356 B and a white 67 912.
When Max visits the family, he and I always sneak away for a ride in the Porsche.
1st it was the Super Carrera, then the 930 RSR and now the long hood.
In all cases, he had a cool-like grin, which spoke volumes.
Porsche has been a big part of my life, which I hope to continue with my kids.
Thanks,
Paul & Judy
Really-really pretty little Speedie . . .
Nice gaps, tidy side-spears . . . even a vintage CA 'gold plate.' Not sure when exactly they started --- but those are 'super' hub-caps. And a Derrington wheel, glossy
This is how they're supposed to look --- neat/tight
Hmmm --- that name seems strangely familiar
Back --- waaaay back, when I was looking for my first Porsche, a 356 . . . I really wanted an 'A' car. And I really-really wanted an 'open' car. Speedsters were kinda outta my price-range, already --- and were being re-pro'd by the dozens, besides . . . and I had zero-interest in Cabs, so . . . I'd had my heart set on finding a Convertible D
Short production-run = rare car --- rarest of the 'production' 356 2-seaters . . . 1200-1300 made?. Sort of a Speedster w/ roll-up windows + cozier seats --- my fantasy was always to get the D, then buy all the Speedster bits --- windshield + frame + top, get some cut-down side-glass . . . roll-my-own. Looked everywhere, too . . . for two years. Never happened
So, whenever I see one . . .
--- 'Cept this isn't one
Intermecchanica = plastic
'Rusty,' huh?
