    First ride

Although I don't own a 911 (yet!!), I've been a long time Porsche enthusiast. I had never had the chance to ride in any Porsche, let alone a 911. Saturday I had the opportunity to ride in my first 911, and not just any 911, a 1967 911S. Member Ken F and I went to the Lake Mirror Classic car show in Lakeland FL. The show was great, although the weather was HOT. There were plenty of interesting cars on display. The Porsche crowd was not represented well as there were only 4 vintage Porsche's on display(not counting the 2011 Carrera GT3RS) 3 1963-4 356's, one 914 and one 1970 911T. The ride however, was a thrill with the engine sounds always audible just behind your ear made the ride exciting for me, especially when Ken hit 7K + the sound was incredible. I'm so used to my relatively quiet BMW so the howl of the engine was memorable.
I managed to shoot a so-so cell phone image while on the way.Name: 911_Ride-01.jpg
