    Question 69 electrics

Working through some wiring issues with my 69er during reassembly.

Having some problems with my turn signal and hazard/flashers.

Is there a modern flasher relay that will work for a 69, I've gone through 2 original units one was dead on delivery, and the other one works the left turn signal, and left hazard only.

Relay clicks when selected right, on both the indicator, and hazard positions but no lights.

I've wired the switches up in accordance with SL33 out of the manual, as this is the closest to a 69 diagram.

What are the options for the turn signal switch on a 69, can one of the modern units available be re wired to work?

I'm thinking it may be the relay, and hoping it's not the switch.

    You want SL35 for 69.

The standard flasher relays at Pelican and other places should work just fine

I've been running off SL33 seeing as the fuses lined up.

    Maybe that's my problem?

I had thought that so people had problems with the updated flasher relay, but can't find it again. It may have been with regards to upgrading to LED's

You are absolutely right. SL33. My bad. I have started in 35 before and realized later I should have been in 33.

I have replaced my flasher relay with the modern versions before and it works perfectly. Your wiring may still need some sorting it sounds.

That's fine, you did make me run down to the garage an check.

I figured it out, I had a power supply as the feed so I could control the amps as I checked everything out hopeing not to damage any thing as I worked my way through the cars systems.

I just needed more amps. Everything is working in the correct manner, and no smoke!
