Thread: 911S/911L Cars for Sale

  1. #911
These are my cars. I am an early "Early 911S Registry" member #5XX. I wish to keep the sale discreet for seller and buyer hence the limited info on the cars. None of these cars were ever advertised anywhere in the USA or on the "interweb". Posting VIN # and pictures are for viewers and not serious buyers, and IMO don't help values of a car. Granted everyone would like to have purchase prices known (quick google search nowadays) when dealers offer their cars. I have very solid interest in the package and not flexible on terms. This is just a clearing on my part to have more time to drive more contemporary P-cars (930, 997 GT3??).
    Cheers P-Community!

Sports Car Market August 2014 (Vol. 26 #8)

Sports Car Market's Keith Martin wrote an interesting article (The Perfect Pairing) about which 2 cars he would buy based on having 5 different budgets. It's a good piece and I enjoyed it as we apparently have similar tastes and views regarding "value" at the ultimate level with the 289 Cobra and 300SL Roadster.

The 911 was one mentioned in his 2 car $150,000 budget (Page 18) August SCM.

"I always like the first-gen, 1966-68 SWB 911s. I do not find value for the price premium the "S" model commands, nor do I think the 64-65 cars are worth double what the 66-68 cars are in terms of driving pleasure."

Could it be said that there is "driving pleasure" and "collecting pleasure"? ("Never the twain shall meet"?)

Appears that EU is well ahead in terms of values. UK and mainland EU are showing very strong appreciation for these cars. Sadly, if sold I will probably never be able to own one of these cars again and will have to watch from the sideline with remorse.
