Steering wheel play rattle wobble on 71T

Ok so I have a 71 911T and it was fitted with a momo steering wheel but when it’s parked there seems to be some movement or play! Is there a bearing in the steering shaft that’s gone as I e been told you can buy a sleeve that you tap down the shaft once the steering wheel is off but I see that’s for 74 on 911’s? I have the spring that fits to the boss but notice I can move the splined end up and down with my fingers?

Andy -- I have a bunch of the short shims and springs available. I'd be happy to mail them out to you if you just PM me your address. This should address your issue.
