FWIW, I had a bead drawn on the car in Niles. Car had some rust issues that don't show up in pics. Spent it first few years being drive in NE winters. If you want more details PM me.

Such a nice restoration, it just seems weird they'd use flat sixes as the wheels. There are some other sticking points on correctness, but not enough to detract from one hell of a car.Originally Posted by elfer

Whoa! I was reading this thread, kicking myself at the sales prices of cars I’d apparently missed. Then I noticed the thread was from 2007.....!!!!!!!
So nobody replied to the original question. why is the 69S regarded as the black sheep of the family? My only guess is the 2 liter engine. Chris
