Thanks. Yes, I spoke with Mike Hammond yesterday. The Vorsicht sticker, which goes on the CDI box and (to be verified) top half of coil is available through Esses Magazine.
So this is what has happened to the other threads on this topic--each one quickly becomes a catch all for all things engine decal related with no definitive conclusions drawn.
In an effort to keep this thread organized, here is where we are at to date:
1. No confirmation of which stickers/decals are appropriate for the black CDI coil.
2. Source confirmed for the Vorsicht sticker, which (in theory, to be confirmed still) is only one of three possible stickers for the coil.
3. No one is sure yet of how far back from 73 the Shell factory fill sticker is 'correct' on the car. It would be great to see an original sticker on a 71, 70, 69, in whatever deteriorated shape. Does anyone have one on an older car they could take a pic of and share and/or verbally confirm?
4. Weltmeister - Decal #1 (the 69 only one) would appear to be for MY 70 cars, given the description in the ad as beginning in Feb 70. So no 69 cars had this sticker on them from the factory. True?
Let's get this all sorted and I'll keep it organized once and for all!
My memory is that the blue decal and the decal on the bracket did not occur until the mid seventies.

Here is a pic from my 73S taken circa 1983, which looks like others, but missing the Shell sticker. Second pic is my current 73S, which appears to be missing the sticker on the coil bracket and the third pic also from my current 73S showing the CDI sticker. Not sure these help.

Gentlemen, Here are several photos of engine decals for a 1969 911 S which has only been driven 18,000 miles, I trust his more than other sources. No Weltmeister, photos weere not taken of the glass, but not evident any where and no coil decals.
Thanks, Mark! Yes, good data points. I don't have the Vorsicht on my CDI box and it's hard to tell if it was ever there. My coil is stickerless, with no bracket sticker either.
BTW, I took the car out this morning (last day before the big heat wave) and stopped by Franz Blam. Let's talk when you get a chance
Very nice. Excellent source.
- Any idea if the coil is original? My 69's coil and bracket are the exact same as this one... stickerless. Knowing the original owner of my car, I think he would have had the decals on the coil were they supposed to have been there, but he's not with us to ask.
- Was there a Shell Factory Fill or remnants of one on the airbox? (I can't see far right area in pic provided, area where the sticker normally goes...)
Sorry if I'm asking questions on a car that may not be yours. Looks like an interesting car, I'd love to see more pics.
Thanks!
Still trying to find the yellow decal with the meter for the clamp. Anyone making a good replica of these? Looks like Sierra Madre might have one. The proportions look off to me though.

Hi Kent,
I am having some made at the moment, they were only for personal use on my own cars but if needed I could send you one.
Thanks
