The auction house is also describing it as the first privately owned S in the U.K. conveniently forgetting the entire 67S production the previous year.

Unfortunately we have got to the point where very few buyers know any better. They will believe anything.
This car is so badly described that it's close to deception.

Agreed re all point on the Sun; however, check this out... from an automotive publication I will read on occasion.

    Scott

"And most remarkably at all: It only has two miles on the odometer.

This 1968 Porsche 911S is the perfect example of what exemplary care for a car can do for it. We at The Drive look forward to seeing it hit the auction block on May 20th at the Historics at Brooklands auction...and wish we had the £220,000–£250,000 ($284,759–$323,590) that it's expected to sell for. Hilarious!

I see a real gap in the market here for the 'Tabloid Auction House', a place you can go to see cars so badly described and so hugely misrepresented that they couldn't possibly be real and no one would take them seriously. No, wait, I think the market's been cornered already.

I have seen this car, and it deserves better than this level of gutter advertising. Maybe they're trying to appeal to the football (soccer) player money?

(There, managed to insult both auctioneers and soccer stars in one post).

    FS: @CPR Sales - 1967 Porsche 2.0L 911 S Coupe

Not perfect, but appears to be a nicely restored example ('Normal 911' tachometer). It sure would be nice to know the numbers (VIN, Engine, Trans, Mileage, Price) as well as some 'before' photos.

    Dealer Description:

This immaculate 1967 911S has undergone a complete concour restoration by CPR. The car was a complete restoration by CPR where it was 100 percent disassembled and taken down to bare metal. Then necessary panel replacements and repairs were made and proper leading was performed to prevent the use of body filler.

After all body work and fitment was completed the car was primed and properly prepped for paint. Following prep, the car was finished in Glasurit Light Ivory giving the car its stunning finish. Then the car went off to Autos International in Sorrento Valley to have its proper black German leather interior and carpets installed.

Upon return to CPR the car underwent and extensive assembly process where only factory original or very high quality reproduction parts were used to give the car its superb level of restoration that it retains now. The matching numbers engine was overhauled in house by our engine department and runs outstanding. The transmission was also completely overhauled with proper gear sets installed.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a Porsche from CPR that has undergone our rigorous concour restoration process without having to wait the 2 years it takes to produce a car to this level.

The car is a completely numbers matching example including its original exterior and interior colors, engine and transmission. This 911S would fit right in in any high end collection and is likely the highest quality short wheel base 911 on the market today. Don't miss this very rare opportunity to own a CPR Certified restoration.

This 911S is under bumper to bumper warranty with CPR Classic for one year after the date of purchase.
