    FS: 69S - 119301485 - Black 6838

    $189,500

    VIN: 119301485
    Engine: 6392111
Trans: 7392118 - (last of the 901/82 airport gear transmissions)

    No affiliation.
    Posterity post.

Highly highly optioned car. Fitted luggage, special order paint, limited slip, airport gears... One of the last 69S off the production line. The last few had many unusual options and colors. This one has a Kardex in a person's name which you don't see often.

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this stunning 1969 Porsche 911S sunroof coupe. Numbers-matching engine and gearbox per Porsche factory kardex; delivered with a host of very rare options, including a factory limited slip, airport gears, and special-order code 6838 black paint.

Three-owner car that has spent most of its life in California and Georgia -- always garaged and well maintained both mechanically and cosmetically with 51,000 believed-to-be original miles. Excellent, all-original sheet metal with the exception of steel RS flares to accommodate gorgeous 16-inch Fuchs and steel RS rear bumpers. The best original underside we have seen on a long hood car in years, excellent gaps, no rust ever. Concours-quality paint and body, very good original trim and glass.

Strong numbers-matching 2.0 liter S engine currently running Weber 40IDAs installed by PMO in California; entire original MFI system, including the 1969S-specific pump is included along with many spares and original take-off parts (such as black coil). Carrera tensioners, newer clutch. All of the important S goodies are in place or included (many of them '69 specific) including S air dam, correct calipers, trim, oil cooler system, leather-wrapped wheel with a nice patina, etc. Period Cibie headlights. Recent freshening in our shop included carb rebuild, valve adjustment, oil and transmission service, carpet and door panels, many new rubbers and seals. Original tools and owner's manual included.

One of the rarest 911s that we have had the pleasure to list -- but also one of the most engaging to drive. The 69S was the lightest of any of the long hood S models with the highest compression and peakiest engine of the run. When mated to the 69S-specific mag case 901 with close-ratio "flugplatzrennen" airport gearing, it makes quick work of blasting through the gears -- with the power band always in the sweet spot and the most intoxicating howl coming from behind you. An excellent touring car that would be welcome at any rally or show.

Well you'd have a "RS body kit" and some SC wheels to sell. Really cool car though.

Not something that I would've ordered --- not many did, really . . . but a kinda fascinating bit to see --- 'specially if it survived anything-close-to-reasonably intact

    Hi Tate,
I too have a factory black 69S loaded with lots of options including the airport gear box and original MFI.
My car also bone dry with all original sheet metal. Kardex also showed the luggage option.
Don't see too many in factory black. Glad to see yours went quickly.
