Clyde,
In all fairness the SM cooler isn't even close in design or appearance to an original Behr unit.
And the bottom of the cooler does show upon close inspection.
I'll let buyers decide but suspect a car would get knocked for not having an accurate cooler. In my opinion it's one of those very hard to source but very necessary items to have in terms of authenticity.
I hear you Frank and agree with what you say but the SM doesn't leak.
The tabs lined up very nicely with my original
protection plate and I am looking for the right color green to spray it to make it look closer to original without the microscope inspection.
I had 2 attempts at buying 2nd hand to have both leak and be worthless so I gave up
in frustration and also with Porsche Classic who were supposed to be doing new ones again but
so far no show

I hear ya.
Out of the last 6 I've tested, two were leakers.
