Found another hole for additional Pull Switch

    Hello,

Have a 69t RHD and wondered if anyone could tell me what type of accessory would normally be installed where my finger points?
There is evidence of a hole from behind for another pull switch.

    Any ideas.....

I've seen TTG driving lights utilizing that hole with the smaller Bosch switch if the car also has under bumper fogs.

My 70 has the same under the basketweave.

    Lee,
What's on the other side of the steering column on your car?

On LHD cars, just right of the steering column was typically the webasto pull switch

    Hello guys,

Thanks for the info, the other side of the steering column are the heating controls, I need to check if I have any holes under the grain trim. I definitely had an electric aerial which I think had a switch of some kind. Maybe it had lights of some sort?

    Thanks Lee

    Hello,

Could someone tell me if a 69t would come standard from the factory with the blanking plug situated to the right of the cigarette lighter. Still researching the pull switches on my car and trying to work out if something was installed here.

    Thanks Lee

    Lee,

That would be your accessory light switch. Normally under bumper fog lights if fitted.

The switch is similar in apparence to your rear window heat switch, but with a green end to the light tube.

Out of interest, if your car had both under bumper fogs fitted, and through the grill driving lights, that would explain the additional hole next to you ignition.

You'll find that a lot of the accessory wiring is already in the loom.

Fogs being the exception, in that the wiring from the switch to the relay ( above horn relay) was not supplied unless optioned. Same with TTG.

Considering you have the factory blank in the dash switch hole, I would bet money your car was not fitted with fogs.

Where do you buy the pull switches like the ones mounted to the bottom of the gauge bump out in the Photo?
