Here are the numbers per Starkey:

I noticed last night that DK Engineering have listed their recently restored M471 RHD Gulf Blue '73 RS as sold. That didn't take long. It was on the Porsche Club stand at the NEC a few weeks back and they had it on the cover of their recent PCGB magazine issue. Don't know what they asked for it. But I have a good idea what they paid for it this time last year, before the recent work took place.

For the record,
Chassis: 9113600397
Engine: 6630423
Delivered by Lovett's to Nigel Moores in early 1973. Eventually spent some time in Kenya, before returning to the UK, getting a previous Autofarm restoration in 89 and, after some long term ownership, sold to Mr Cottingham at DK and done again just now, I think by Jaz Porsche, prior to the recent publicity/sale. No affiliation.

Copying from a letter I saw, written by a respected dealer here in 2007 (probably referencing Konradsheim), the car left the factory with
Transmission 7830396
Options 220, 102, 423, 430 (LSD, heated rear, driver mirror, fog lights)
It may have originally been registered 1 DKL but now sits on JOL 581L. Last time it was for sale was, I believe, in Classic Car mag 9/91, post repatriation from Kenya and the Autofarm restoration, when, based on photos, it was certainly a White car.
Based on tentative conversations in late 2015, I would guess it traded between £750k and £800k. It was a white with blue "driver" condition car at that point; some high quality early owners in the file but history was thin prior to '89. I assume it was used in motorsport (UK and Africa) which, if the car is still verifiable as the car, personally, I like. I have absolutely no reason to suppose this car was not as advertised.
Make your own assumption about the cost of making good and the DK mark-up and you can have a stab at the sale price. I honestly don't know what it sold for post recent restoration.
No doubt someone will chime in...
Asking price was £1,400,000. Jaz did carry out the build but not the paint.
Wow...I would assume anything over around £900k would have been dealer profit.
Hi Hugh,
Hope all is well with you. I was doing research on engine serial # 6630430 and was hoping you had a photo from the engine in RS 1210. Is there anyone that has a photo of the engine serial # in RS 1210? I don't seem to be able to find any online photos of this engine. Thanks for your help with this. :)
Brian
i have photos of the car, and of the engine IN the car, but none of the engine number stamping or anything else that you could distinguish it from any other early car engine
another one.
