Body: We had the car stripped to bare metal and resprayed back to its original color Conda Green. Paint code: 2626. All window and body seals have been replaced. Chrome headlight trim and complete bumper deco have been replaced.

Interior: The interior is also in excellent condition with no wear in the seats. Still has the original door and map pockets (which is very rare) in good condition. Carpet and headliner have been replaced. All lights and gauges are in working order.

Wheels: 15x7" Fuchs with Pirelli tires in almost new condition.

Drive Train: When we purchased the car we took the original matching #'s engine out with the intention of having it rebuilt due to minor oil leaks around the front main and rear main seals, other then that the engine pulled very strong. We already had a rebuilt 911T engine, therefore we replaced the E engine with the T. For the Porsche enthusiast that would like the original all matching #'s car, I will consider conveying both engines with the car. 5 speed transmission shifts easily through all gears with no grinding.

Car is in Good, Original Condition, probably a 3 - 3.5 on a scale of 1-5. Very rare car and the quickest Porsche 0-100mph that was sold in 1970!

I've owned dozens of Porsches over the past 35 years and the "E's" are easily my favorite 911 model. Great for running around town in traffic with incredible power on tap when you want it on the open road.

Solid, original pans with NO rust, even the front pan and battery boxes are solid. There is some minor rust in the following areas: Bottom of the right front fender(by the door), small spot on lower left door, in the lower left door jamb, two very small spots under targa window and the right outer rocker panel(all pretty minor and considerably less than you usually find in these cars)

Optional Bosch H4 Headlights. Has Original Fog light Switch and Relay, but later Bosch Fog lights have been installed.

Correct German Top with Correct Black liner AND THE STORAGE CASE FOR THE TOP WHEN IT IS IN THE TRUNK(These are almost always missing).

Factory Tinted Windows are all in great shape, including the Sigla Windshield.

Silver paint still looks pretty good, with a great shine, but it's getting tired with some hazing that is typical with silver paint after a few decades. Probably about time for a respray unless you like patina(as I do). It looks like it has one coat of paint over the original silver paint(paint Code #8010 on door tag).

Car was sold new in Seattle and has been in the NW it's whole life. Maintenance records from the day it was sold to now.

Original delivery book shows that it has the original engine.

All of the gauges work-even the clock. Original Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM/SW radio is included with the car, but it currently has a Pioneer AM/FM CD player. HAS RARE FACTORY INSTALLED 5 SPEAKER OPTION WITH FRONT SPEAKER, DOOR SPEAKERS(Mounted behind the Leather door panels with original covers over the factory holes in the door pockets) AND REAR SPEAKERS(Mounted in Leather side panels above the rear seats)

Leather is in Overall good condiition with a great vintage look, there are 2 panels in the front seats that have split. A decent upholstery man could easily replace those two panels for a minor investment. Dash has usual split and a previous owner put a cover over the speaker so it's probably split too. Factory carpets are all there and in excellent condition with a little wear on the drivers mat. Trunk carpets are also original and in very good condition with a little damage next to one of the batteries(not visible unless you lift the carpet up).

Mechanically in good condition :

Original Engine (#6200714)runs great, having been completely rebuilt by an excellent Porsche repair shop 60,000 miles ago, Compression test was 165-175 on all cylinders, trans shifts smoothly with no howls or whines, but 1st and second gear synros are getting tired. A couple of the transaxle seals are weeping a bit. Original 911E/S brakes work perfectly. Koni shocks front and rear are great. Tires have less than 5,000 miles on them.

Still has all five original Fuchs alloy wheels.

Original toolkit and jack.

Original owners manual and warranty booklet with engine number recorded on delivery.

I just took this car on a 500 mile round trip to a Porsche event in Seattle - it drove and performed perfectly. But it took a lot of self control on my part to keep it under 100MPH - this car feels GREAT at high speeds!"

Notes: "As the third owner, I purchased this car in 1978. I have all the records from that date as well as some from the previous owner. Through the years the car has been meticulously maintained in original condition right down to the original Bosch fuel injection. The car is equipped with the optional "S" package.

Mileage is 104,748 and due to the overall appearance, seems to be accurate. The engine was rebuilt to factory specifications in 1985 and many upgrades were installed including stainless steel heat exchangers, chain tentioner guards as well as Aeroquip brake lines. The car had a very well done repaint in 1998 with numerous new seals and gaskets. There are some paint imperfections, however, on a scale of 1 to 10 it would probably rate 8.75.

All bright work is in good to excellent condition but not perfect. The paint imperfections are small and appear at the bottom of the right front bonnet, bottom of the right rear hood, right front fender above the tire, and the bottom of the driver’s door, but that’s it. There is also a small worn place in the driver’s seat.

Thank you for checking out 911E today. It is a nice solid car with great gaps and the both doors make the unique Porsche sound when closed. Essentially rust free car with original floors. No rust in the front suspension pan. The dash is original crack free and very nice. This is the optional premium dash which is textured. Transmission shifts great and nice for city and everyday use! Original MFI engine pulls very strong but runs rich and can see black smoke under throttle. All outer rubber trim and weather stripping newer long with Porsche lens and H4 lights. I also have records for the car and one for 5k miles ago for a rebuilt that cost close to 10k which explains the power it has no white smoke.

I am currently owning the Albert Blue 911 E Targa from 1970 (9110210731) as listed above and I am trying to trace down the full (service) history as it contains some gaps. According to the original Porsche Service / Maintenance manual that came with the car, my 911 E was delivered on October 2nd1970 to Mr Benjamin Engr by Holbert's Porsche in Warrington NJ. Second owner was Mr James B. Rudolph in Philadelphia (8610 Bloomfield Ave, Phila Pa 19115). The car was delivered to him by Holbert's Porsche Warrington on September 27, 1975. I called them but they do not want to disclose any information. Service booklet is stamped till March 29 th 1976. After than it is not clear to me how long the car was owned by Mr Rudolph and who were the owner(s) after him.
Anyway, the last US owner was Mr Tom Moore who bought the car from the 'unknown owner' in Stockton in 2003. This unknown owner maintained the 911 E at M&W autoservice in Stockton NJ. Unfortunately the shop changed ownership so they don't know my car nor do they have any details or documents of this unknown owner. Point is that either Mr Rudolph or this unknown owner did something to the engine i.e. the original engine with no 6201914 was replaced with a 2.0 901/16 T engine (no 6197215) however many parts of the E like the injection fuel pump have been re-used.
I hope that anybody from this forum could put me at the right trace in order to fill the gap in the history of my 911 E
