That is an interesting strut brace on the Brumos car.
I looked like it was stamped with the way it so gracefully joins up with the strut tower.
The bulkhead is stamped... but the lower part was cut out (gracefully, to fit that 25 gallon cell) and gusseted. ;)

OK, I have never actually looked inside the front compartment of a 914 to my knowledge. So there is a bulkhead that has been cut out. I just was thinking it would look similar to a 911 with nothing between the towers. I guess Teeners are too poor to play golf or so Porsche thought.
#9140432281 sold for $35,000. Seems well bought to me.

Max, Max, Max... there's a rear trunk for your clubs (or your vintage Telecaster in my case). :DQuote:

Here's a shot of the front trunk bulkhead for you. The spare tire mount is a feature that only showed up on the 916's (11 made) BTW. Teeners were thought out rather well actually. There were complete bulkheads between both front and rear shock towers negating the need for bars, unless... you do what Russ did or what the factory did when they added the 100 litre fuel cells/tanks:

Here's a shot of the rear showing the rear bulkhead. This is where the clubs would go (or the rally plate and the oil tank and the oil catch tank): :D

Interesting. They thought that part out well; then they go and chop the roof off and put the battery over the longitudinal.
Yup... the battery over the long was not a great thing. Great for weight balancing considering where the driver is in the car but... there is that thing about the engine lid and water coming in and washing battery acid down the long. The biggest area to look out for when considering a nice 914 purchase.
Hmm. If I can get past the looks I might start catching the bug for a 916.
