I actually like the 914 with its black targa top and sail panels. Especially if that top is cross braced and bolted in on a GT style body.
I'll pass on the 2002 spyder. I like my Bimmers with 3 boxes and a Hoffmeister kink. That greenhouse on a classic Bimmer is already nice and airy, and it also keeps you dry.
By the way, I think that the first 911s look pretty clumsy with the skinny tires. They are not proportioned nearly as well as a 356. All that changes when you get to the racing/sporting models. R, RS,RSR. Or at least a LWB 911S with Fuchs and the little flares. The more flares the better it seems with 911s, though.
550 Spyders, 917s, 907, 908, 906, 956... these are some of the few Porsches that look perfect just the way they are. But they were designed with only one purpose in mind. Curious how that is.
I like 356 coupes as well, but I like the pre-A outlaws better and especially when they have the wheels pushed out as far as they can towards the fender lips. They look great with Fuchs stuffed under there.
They look pretty good when the sail panel and top are body color.
