JKH do you know the seller? Seems to be a very well done car at a very reasonable price. Somebody is going to be very happy putting that in their garage.
No doubt, Scott... first thing I saw this morning and can't imagine it not being snapped up quickly.
Looks nice...
John
Yes I do, more importantly, I resuced it from a barn, The owner who had owned it for about 15yrs had purchased it in Florida with factory steel flairs,(not factory install)Quote:

He had a shop put a 2.0 race motor according to his elderly father, had an IMSA nose on it and fake 7/8x16 wheels. The owner had passed away and his Father who he lived with, Was selling his cars in no hurry took about 6 months finalize the deal, I think he was in his 40's I had met him one time.
I towed it home along with the stock motor, Got it running (fouled spark plugs) fixed the brakes , Drove the heck out of it. On hot days it smelled bad (mice) I couldn't figure out where they were dead at until I removed the carpet and looked into the longs and found the deceased, A buddy of mine managed to pull what we thought was all the dead out.
But the smell didn't go away. I couldn't drive it anymore with the odor, My wife threw the biggest fit in history , Fire sale, My friend bought it from me for 10K,
He really cleaned it up ,new carpet , and cosmetics, Then sold it to Tony B. who had a 3.0 installed by redmond euro. Tony owned it for a while then put up for sale and that is when the current owner purchased it. He got the unfortunate surprise when he went to have it painted and the long were rotted from you know what.
The person I sold it to , knew and the next owner passed on it the first time when I owned it and then purchased it from my friend.
The current owner has spent a considerable amount of time and $$ on it and it is by far the best it has ever been.
The factory matching 2.0 case has been found locally, but is owned by a shop.
wow thats the facts. JKH
Looks mice...
Seriously, It is a nice 914-6. Every car has history, I just happen to know a lot about this one.
Thread indicates it is sold. Very nice and tasteful car. Great balance of handling and power mods with orignial matching number motor to boot. Had to laugh at a lot of the comments. Many indicated the asking price was excessive. Not from my seat.

Purty, but 146,000 Euro? That is waaaay outside the box IMO.
