Special early 1964 features on 1965 cars

1035 definitely has snaps

302136 (RHD) has snaps. September 65 build.

It has been a lot of fun to be a part of this thread. My car #300717 is now for sale, hopefully someone with deeper pockets can take it from here and give it the restoration it deserves. It is listed in the cars for sale section. I thought it might not be appropriate to put a link to it here.

Car 299 shows a pink field on the snaps feature, which means that I think it is either incorrect, or at least not original.
Replacement floors do not hem them, and also show round indents. 299 also has the round indents so most likely the floor was replaced at some point and the workshop owner did not know, or at least ignored this.

This is not my conclusion. The next input on this after 1620 is 2003, which does not have snaps, but this car has been restored, so possibly missed that feature. DEEMAN now brings info that 2136 has them, so that is the next fact.

Txs Earlyaircooled for all the valueable info you provided!! I do have few more questions which i hope you might still answer. Does 717 have
- an adjustment hole in the rear lid, see post 77 showing one with a hole, or not (post 258 shows without a hole).
- bumper guards front with or without slots? see post 99
- steering house for LDHD only, see post 316
- slim triangle window closure, post 403/408
- perforated backs of the front seats

Auctions America is selling 1966 Porsche 911 Coupe # 302198. The description is worse than most, they even call Bahama Yellow "Butterscotch" but the pictures do show that chassis # 302198 has:

1. A windshield washer reservoir (bag) in the right fender, and
2. Non-adjustable front strut top mounts.

pss I'm able to answer some of your questions:

I do have an adjustment hole in the rear latch receptacle

Unfortunately my car came with replacement front bumper guards with black plastic inserts so they are not correct

steering house, I could not determine what kind I have, sorry I did notice that I do not have a bump steer stabilizer

yes I do have slim window closure pieces

I dont think the seats in my car are original , they are leather although the Kardex says vinyl and they have 5 pleats and I think I should have 6?
