Dave at Sasco Sports picked out a nice 5.00L with an unblemished sidewall for the spare. It is mounted on a deep six finished in standard anodizing and satin black paint. We left the Dunlop sticker on the tread for some added detail.

BobTilton provided the inspiration for a detailed, sanitary fuel bay...

I've been in research mode lately on the board trying to extract "exacting" details and I can't tell you how many times this thread has come up. It is just a huge wealth of info that I hope is never lost. I am forever grateful for your knowledge but more so your willingness to share and document this over-the-top build with rippling effects in the Porsche community.

At first I thought it was just another hot rod.

But seeing it sitting there, cloaked in Olive, in an almost identical stage of assembly and posed in a familiar attitude on a similar roll around dolly it bears an uncanny resemblance. And really, as you point out, it is a striking likeness of the image of the project car posted circa Dec 2009.

Really I had no idea.

Nobody would believe me, would they, if I dared to utter the words. Could it be? Could it possibly be? Gad it might just be true.
