Porsche 914/6 collectability

We have all the 4 previous German owners recorded and believe it was originally ordered as a US spec car probably for a US serviceman who backed out as the car wasn't registered til April 71 by the Glockler Frankfurt dealer although it was a June 1970 build. It was first sold to a local doctor there. We will respect the original paint ( for now ) :)
It is refreshing to see it in all it's warts including the plugged hole where the rear fog light originally sat. This will be a labor of love to bring it back mechanically as it sat for a decade. We were very fortunate to find this example.

New to the board, looks like this thread is a good place to share my 914/6. Purchased from original owner in August 2012. Matching #`s. Been stored for 10 years was part of an estate sale. Doesn`t run right now, but does turn over and has good compression. Have to replace the typical parts, fuel system and brakes are shot. Webers have been gone through and putting together brake parts. Been talking to Eric on that. I`ve been collecting parts to get it running, should be by xmas. 1970 serial# 9140432547, purchased from Bob Smith Porsche 4/14/71. It`s complete and original. I`ll get some pics up soon. I do have it over at 914 world that shows the car on a post titled "914/6 dilema".

The rear looks correct to me but the front is catching air like an SUV. Its not that different from the attached one I found on the web though. No matter, the suspension, brakes, fuel system, engine will be refurbished this year.

Speaking to originality and provenance, it appears that the last "owner" at the farmhouse would escape to sit in the car when he had the munchies and also was a bit of a slob. No worries, all wiring and duct work is intact. Phew!

Calling our resident rodent expert. Perhaps Jeff can determine species and sub-species by the bite marks. He loves those little critters! :D (I'd guess common Michigan Field Mouse)

11 and 12 were production cars with it. Right?

Also, that 76 is a factory car I believe. There is a story on it somewhere. My gray matter does not store such things as it used to. :D
