Interesting look...I wonder if drilling out as they did compromises the integrity/rigidity of the wheel? I am sure they have taken this into consideration.....

Met these 'Fifteen52' guys last night.... These are NOT modified Fuchs......

These are local made (SoCal/USA) as 2 (or 3) piece welded forgings, CNC'd then finished in almost any size and offset you want.

Pretty damn cool..... and VERY nice quality and detail ....

I've known Matt from Fifteen52 for several years and I can attest to what they stand for and the products they make. Furthermore, if you look at the pricing, they clearly aren't out to "make a buck" but really want to offer enthusiasts (particularly sport-purpose guys) a reasonable alternative to forking over lots of cash on wide Fuchs.

I stopped for a too-brief visit at Magnus Walker World Headquarters in L.A. on my way down to the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show last weekend. Welcoming and charming as always, Magnus didn't say anything as we walked into the car barn -- but he had a set of the new wheels on the blue Turbo. We had a bit of a laugh, because I was immediately drawn to the car and especially to the wheels. Magnus also showed me a sample wheel and center cap; he just asked that I embargo any photos/news until the official roll-out.

The new wheels appear to be beautifully made and finished. I can tend toward being a snob about period-correctness, but I spent my younger years at and around the Oakland Roadster Show and I've always been a fan of Outlaw Porsches. There's something "right" about what Mr. Walker and the Fifteen52 guys have done here. The wheels are nice and light, but appear to have been properly engineered for strength and durability as well. They have a fantastic look -- respectful of old-school Fuchs but with more than a whiff of Campagnolo about them.

Very well done.
