I sold my '67 Bahama Yellow Sports Purpose build in 2010 and I'm looking for the buyer who I believe lives in New Hampshire.

sure like that car. Once they are that nice they may not stay in the same garage for long.

what are you working on now, John, besides H1's?

    cheers -

    Hi Mike...

My son and I are fussing with a 964 and looking for a longhood project. And I'm working on a vintage Airstream.

    Bahama Yellow '67, 306607

I built that car for Greg Bennett in '94, who then sold it to John.
It was more of a "sleeper" at the time. We did performance upgrades to the engine, but kept the car's appearance relatively stock.

John had much more done to the car once he acquired it...

Jon built a fantastic 2.7S out of the original 2.0 aluminum case. Two 2.7S engines were purchased to find the perfect match of crank and rods; new Mahle 2.7RS pistons and cylinders, 2.7S heads and valves and 2.7s oil system and 901 Solex heads. I added PMO's but did little else to the engine as it was the best one that I ever encountered. Mine main work on the car was to convert it to a Rallye car using the bulletin entitled Information Regarding Porsche Vehicles Used for Sports Purposes published by Porsche in March of 1968. I essentially built it as a privateer would of done back in the day using only NOS and refurbished original parts.

Still my favorite 911 project. That car was tuned and a blast to drive. As a so-so driver myself that's the most confidence I ever had driving a car - that car can make anyone look good.

    Cheers,
    John
