    Adjusting H1's

One of the attractions of H1's is that with two bulbs and two reflectors they enable the low and high beams to be adjusted separately. When I restore them I afix a reproduction of the instruction label for adjusting the headlamps which looks more or less like this:

    A C H T U N G
Erst Abblendlicht einstellen, dann. Fernlicht korrigieren
Kennzeichnung der Stellschrauben auf der Streuscheibe:
    Abblendlicht mit "↔️A" u. "↕️A", Fernlicht mit "F↔️" u. "F↕️"

    Translated into English:

    A T T E N T I O N
First adjust dipped beam, then correct high beam
Labeling of the adjustment screws on the trim ring:
Dipped beam with "↔️A" and "↕️A", High beam with "F↔️" and "F↕️"

Looking at the headlight the adjustment screws are arrayed as follows (with the locations conveniently marked on the lens with letters and arrows):

    Low Beam : Large Reflector
    A: Upper right corner - adjusts up-down
    A: Lower left corner - adjusts left-right

    High Beam : Small Reflector
    F: Upper left corner - adjusts up-down
    F: Lower right corner - adjusts left-right

    Piece of cake.

    Cheers,
    John

Thanks for posting that. What is the date of the publication? I'm curious because it's the older style lens with the larger prism.
