Black Paint around perimiter of doors - example photos please?

    Hello everyone.

Would love to see some photos of the inside of original doors so that we can replicate how the factory applied the black trim paint. Anyone got anything to share? Thanks!

Dave I think that might have been brushed on. I think I remember seeing brush marks when the door panels were off my 71T. I will look to see if I can get you some pics without major disassembly.

I just looked at my all original paint 69e and on my car it was sprayed. Sorry no pictures without the door panel but if you need pictures outside of the door panel I will take them for you! Jim

    Hi Jim,

I'm also trying to determine the original door paint lines for my recently painted 1970T. Could you post some close ups of the black edge at the front (esp near the top at near the vent window), rear and bottom of the door so I can replicate this for my masking? Also, is the original paint a gloss, semi gloss or flat?

    Much appreciated,

    Geoff

I'll post a buinch of pictures of doors tomorrow. The black was hand done and Fritz probably didn't do it the same as Hans.

    Regards
