Judging from the flywheel and the magnesium parts, storage conditions were less than ideal. The cost after rebuilding will be over $50,000.

What an artifact. Lots of frozen in time details. Probably on the inside as well.
What's its story
If the rest of the engine was as clean as the number stamping...
My fear would be water sitting in a magnesium case. Nom nom nom.

The motor shipped from N.J., the owner (I have his name and address) had passed away. I found it in Denver in a storage unit after the Denver owner passed away. I might take it to Denver NC to rebuild it, if no sale. See all the goodies in the picture. The 914/6 came with a 2.2S in it.
I'm open for comments on its value.

What is the number on the MFI pump should end in 001 or 005 if it has been swapped out like lots were.

Too risky at 15k. 3-4k sells it.

I'd have no problem paying $10K, but only if I had a chassis to put it in. If you were to find the person with the matching chassis, it would be worth what you're asking.
