    Porsches at Amelia Is. Concours

Here are a few photos of some of the Porsches at Amelia Island Concours this past Sunday. Only one 911 but a few others of interest, a 1956 550A LeMans prototype, a 1969 914/8 and a 918 hybrid.

Thanks for the pics. Any shots of the 914/8 engine compartment?

Thanks for your pics. I thought all the 914/8 were flared and with a welded rooftop ...

This is the prototype/test mule for the 914/8. I don't think either 914/8's had flared fenders. The 916 had flared fenders and was displayed next to the 914/8.

    Thumbs up

    Here's another....

Bert Everett always seemed a bit older then most of his competitors. I think he was already in his mid 40's when he started racing TransAm... He was a very class act in Porsches, Alfa's, and just about anything he raced....

One of my heroes in my 'Alfa life'.....
