This is such an interesting car.

Thomas, I remember you posting some info on this car a month or so ago.

Do you have any new history to share on it since then?

Yes, you got it: Heckscheibenwischer = rear wiper.
Currently in between Porsches. Sold my 73.5T Targa, now suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Attending Rennsport Reunion VI didn't really help getting over it.

Why it is claimed the car is "race spec'd"? What wannabe racer would have chosen antenna, noise suppression, chrome trim, rear wiper ... ?

I have spoken with the first owner in Germany(which is mentioned on the Kardex) and he clearly stated that he had never raced, nor intended to race the car. Dunlops were no race tires. It was used as a normal street car and had some nice options. That's it.

OK, thanks for clarification ... it would be interesting also to know why he specified a special ratio gearbox ...
