    [QUOTE=72targa;929315]Wonderful!!

Right you are, Peter. Indeed it is !!

..............and what's even more wonderful and satisfying is that the loudmouth braggart Hamilton DID NOT win.................or even make it onto the podium.

As a purely persona observation, given the news blackout Schumi's wife has imposed on Michael's condition and "progress", I can't help but wonder if he's even slightly aware to any degree at all of what's happening around him and if any of today's events made it all the way through into whatever may remain of his conscious mind - if anything.

It's beginning to look like a pretty good, competitive season after too many years of processional mediocrity.

Damn it you just spoiled the race for me. Next time don't put the winner in the headline!

    As Jack Nicholson said....

"almost got a clean getta-way"...I agree with Max ...I stayed away from "Media" today, didn't read the overseas papers this morning...came home after a full day of work in the marina....looking forward to a dip, heating up some left-overs and have some wine...and watch the Monaco GP....watching a race with known outcome is like kissing your own sister...it's still a kiss...but just not the same way...O'well, I guess I watch to find out who came second and third....
    Remember...Tomorrow don't spill the beans...Thanks.../ Lars...

    P.S... I don't even have a sister!... ....

Amazingly I managed to go the whole day without finding out who won the Indy 500... but I missed the last 25 laps on my recording because of the red flag. Luckily I was able to Youtube most of the finish. Should have extended the recording by a half hour.

    Same thing happened to me.
But I forgot just in case it went long I had recorded the following X games skateboard show.
The next day as I was cleaning the DVR recordings I found and watched the last 25 laps.
I rarely watch long races, but on occasion after you have time invested watching a long race it is frustrating when the finish is missing.

Right up there with turning on your prerecorded race and the first 2 minutes for some reason catches the winner on podium before your recorded race starts. Spoiler!

LOL yeah I saw that too. I forgot the live race was on NBC so my DVR automatically recorded the one on NBCSN which was the replay.

Great results for Ferrari but I would have liked to see Kimi on the top step.

I watched both races live (at parents beach house with no sense of DVR). so full day in front of TV.

Wished Kimi was there in the end. The team pit strategy put Vettel out front on a track with no passing. He is after all quicker over a race distance, but Kimi has a nostalgic pull for me as a long time F1 follower.

Alonso at Indy: my heart sank with 20 laps left as his engine blew on the front straight. He had dropped back after a restart and was beginning to make his way to the front (again). I believe he would have been on the podium when the checkered flag fell. Tremendous to see his talent in a completely unknown car, style of racing.
