    Axle sealing ring?

Looking to replace the axle sealing rings 901 331 283 00 on my 66' 911. Currently on my car are 2 different types of seals. One looks like it could have been the original (right one in the pic below) and the other is an o-ring. It is part# 16 in the diagram below. These are no longer available. Any suggestions? Thanks

You can get just about any O-rings at a good bearing supply house. Just measure them and they will find suitable ones for you.

They were never an O ring.

We have been supplying the correct part for a few years.

Those look like the one I have pictured on the right of my photo. Can I buy a pair of those from you? Thanks

The original part was an AN form Wiper Seal.

Thanks, I ordered 10 of them from McMaster.

On that thread, I noticed that you replaced the grommets on you steering cover. I have an arrow pointing to the grommet below. Do yo recall where you got those? Thanks

It's an 'O' ring. When you remove it it will go round, take it to a Ace hdw. store or generic 'O'ring supply house.

Ed, if you are referring to the photo with the arrow, that is a grommet. I could re-use mine but they're pretty tired.

You're right, I meant to say grommet, the rest of the answer still applies however,,
