    FS: 1972 2.4 911T engine SN 6123358..LOWERED PRICE

Up for sale is the original engine to my 72 911-T SN 6123358. Rebuilt under previous ownership circa 1986/1987 timeframe (have receipts) at 91K miles and mileage is just 105K now. Running Weber 40 IDA 3C carbs (MFI is long gone) and was rebuilt using 2.4S pistons and cylinders. Selling the engine as this car was purchased by me to do a 'hot rod' build. Engine is complete, running, and still in the car and carbs were just fully rebuilt. Price includes entire engine and SSI exchanger. Muffler is NOT included. $7500.00 Located in Northern Virginia.

Curious who and where was engine rebuilt in '80's? Is engine original to current vehicle?

    Thanks,

    Ray

I have parts receipts (not sure if it is complete) for new 2.4S pistons and cylinders, standard main and rod bearings, timing chains, camshaft bearings and sprockets, valve guides and an engine gasket set. Lots of service receipts from C&J Motors in Rockville, MD but none to show if they did the rebuild. I have only had the car since December 2017 so my first hand knowledge is limited to receipts. Yes, the engine is original to the car per delivery records and an early 90s COA.

Thank you for the bump. I had a ton of interest from my PELICAN posting, but after a day of email exchanges now just crickets.

Since the circa 80's rebuild engine only has 14k miles? Or 114k?

    Thanks
