    Correct mfi hose?

I have spent some time searching for the correct hose that runs between the heat exchanger and the engine tin then on to the mfi thermostat, it is a very thick rubber, maybe barrier hose. The new replacements seem to be silver foil. Anyone have a source for the correct thing? Pic for reference.Name: DF8268E2-1845-4A91-8B0C-14E7907B079B.jpg

    Lightbulb

What you need is called a 'Steam Hose', I couldn't find it at Stoddard or Sierra Madre, but I found it on Amazon:

    Hope this helps,

It's not the same hose as the paper and foil combo that connects above the tin to the pump thermostat as you are finding out.

See post 62 here, where I took a picture of the steam hose on a factory restored 73T with MFI

Yea, the pic I posted is my old hose, just wasn’t sure what it was exactly or where to get it new.

The correct hose is available from Porsche , or Napa has a similar steam hose , I think 1 inch .The hose will be less money from the dealer .

I brought my original into an industrial hose supplier and he was able to match it pretty easily.
