    History of 69 911S

    Hey everyone-
I bought and sold this one years ago but was wondering if anyone knew the history on it. The story was it was rolled in 1972 and then put away, hence the green clip. The VIN was 119301417. Anyone remember this one, was probably in the Mid-Atlantic region.

    Thanks-
    Adam

Please post a pic of the VIN stamping in the trunk.

Below is a pic of 119301417 as a sandblasted tub in Atlanta, circa 2011...

Same car, went to a buyer in Atlanta. I'll go through my pics and see if I have the front stamping.

There is a vague transaction history for 119301417 on the 911S/911L Cars for Sale thread (#427/#428) dating back to February 2012 (maybe yours?). Showing up on Craig's List in Atlanta and Samba but links are long gone.

No, I never advertised the car, it sold to one of my regular buyers in Atlanta, I think the ads were his. My records show I owned the car in 2010.

I saw the car at a place called Rusty Tubs on the internet in the stripped state in pic above. In suburban Atlanta

Timing makes sense now, as your pictures were pre sale. Your buyer apparently stripped it.

No idea where it is now

One interesting difference between the car when you had it and your buyer is the VIN plate.
Compare your photo above to this one I took when I saw it... Sure seems like the plate is different, could be the photo though

Rusty Tubs was my buyer, I sold him lots of cars. Anyone remember the slant nose 73S?
