How to identify a '69 only engine cover?

That is the question...I am told they are different. How to identify a '69 air intake mesh. I have been offered one of each, but want to make sure they are model year correct. My car was built in March 1969. Thanks

68-69 both have the "Five bar" grills. Due to this the lid is different from other years to mount the grill. I'm pretty sure 68 and 69 are interchangeable but some of the other 69 guys can maybe verify.

    Nashman:

You have a 70+ decklid and what looks like a messed up screen.

The 68.5-69 decklid looks like this: Note the missing tabs for the 5 bars, as the 69 screen only has three bars.

The 68.5-69 screen visual example is here

Totally my bad as I had them backwards. Car has been apart for so long I forgot that 69 is three bar and later cars are five.

The grill is a 65’ - early 68’, fitting the deck lid with the vertical bar in the center of the lid. 68.5 was without the vertical bar.
