My car was US delivered (to New Jersey), left the factory 10/67, delivered to new owner 3/68. Nothing on my Kardex that refers to seatbelts/restraints.
You are probably looking in the wrong place. Just under the rear quarter windows. Your car may have been reupholstered and they are covered up by incorrect upholstery. You cant see them from the wheel wells. You will also have harness mounts under the rear package shelf upholstery. Your car definitely had shoulder belt anchors. If it had some shoddy rust repair, they may have been eliminated.

Well, looks like it has been reupholstered and covered up. Yet another project! I'll work on finding the seatbelts first.

I know this thread pertains to 1968 cars, but I am curious when Porsche switched to the lapbelt/harness combination anchored on the seat frame and "B" pillar. Attached is a picture of a Karmann coupe completed December 4, 1968. Was the change made after the factory's August holiday with the introduction of the LWB cars? Were any SWBs made after the holiday?

    Three Point Seatbelt Mountings

The 1965-1967 (short wheel base) cars had the attachment point under the side rear window as shown in the first 2 photo below - car interior.

As a comparison the inner fender metal housing photo (as seen from the wheel well) shows the oval shaped metal receiver used in 1965 thru 1967 cars.

The lower rectangle shape (drawn in) would be where the 1969 Retractable Seatbelt Take-up Real mounting point is located.

Look up into the fender and see what your car has for metal mounts (No need to pull the interior out to verify).

Well.....damn. In the "3 Point Seatbelt Mounting Points" photo you show above - I, indeed, have that oval shaped "SWB mount" - however, its ripped out and covered with metal from what appears to be the interior. @##$$!!!

    I see I can order this: https://www.stoddard.com/sic80312321...12321-set.html

Is that correct for the SWB cars? I noticed in some 68 911L's they had a hoop anchor point as opposed to this "button" style, if you will. I am handy with a welder....but I have to say, this is going to be a bit of a bugger.....and it won't be the same oval cup you see in the above photo unless I have a couple of donor chunks to work with.

    It's all coming together.....

Thank you, Bob, for the insight.

Thank you Gunbab, I was able to secure a set of correct belts from another member here. Thank you!! Now, I just need to solve for the wonky plug thats covering the attachment points shown above. Ugh.

As far as I know, the shoulder belt bolts switched over in MY67 from Chassis Number 30 8091 to the hex head bolts. So any MY 68 with a Chassis Number of 118 x xxxx would have the hex head bolts.

Inside the oval-shaped sheet metal part that is missing from your car is a 7/16-20 threaded boss.

Of course it is a '69 LWB. I've had it since 1978. My question was whether any SWB cars were completed after the August holiday.
